Welcome to Drip. By creating an account, listing a service, or booking a service, you agree to these Terms. Drip is a marketplace that connects vehicle owners ("Clients") with independent mobile car detailers ("Detailers"). Drip is not the provider of detailing services. Drip also runs a free directory of self-serve and touchless car washes.
You must be 18 or older and give accurate information. You're responsible for activity under your account. Guests can book without a full account using a verified email.
Card bookings are paid in full when you book, processed by Stripe. Your total is the service price set by the Detailer, any add-ons, any travel charge, and Drip's booking fee. Everything is shown before you confirm.
Drip's booking fee depends on the service total:
Cash. Some Detailers are approved by Drip to accept cash. For cash bookings you pay the Detailer directly at the appointment and no booking fee applies. Drip doesn't handle cash and isn't responsible for cash payments between you and the Detailer.
Travel. Each Detailer sets a free travel distance. If you're farther than that, their travel charge is added and shown before you pay.
Price changes. A Detailer may lower the price after seeing your vehicle, and the difference is refunded to you. A Detailer can only raise the price if you approve it in the app.
Each Detailer sets a free cancellation window, a late cancel fee, and a no-show fee, all shown on the booking page before you pay. Cancel before the window closes and you get a full refund. Inside the window, the late cancel fee is kept and the rest is refunded. If you're not available when the Detailer arrives, their no-show fee and Drip's booking fee are kept and the rest is refunded. If a Detailer cancels, you get a full refund. See the Refund Policy for details.
Drip keeps a platform fee from each card booking's service price, taken automatically when the customer pays. Your earnings in the app already reflect it, and you are never billed separately.
Example: on a $100 service, founding detailers receive $99.00 and standard detailers $98.00.
No platform fee is taken on cash bookings or on tips.
You set your own services, prices, service areas, and booking policies (travel, cancellation, no-show, and booking times). Your listing must be accurate. Drip may hide listings that are incomplete, misleading, or inactive. When customers search a city you list as a service area, you may be shown to them as serving that area.
Detailers are independent contractors, not Drip employees. You're responsible for your insurance, licensing, taxes, equipment, water and power, and the quality of your work.
The car wash directory is general information. Hours, prices, and amenities come from public sources and from the community, and may be out of date. Anyone signed in can suggest edits, photos, and tips; suggestions are reviewed before they're published. By submitting content you confirm it's accurate to your knowledge and give Drip permission to display it. Check with the business before you go.
Don't break the law, harass other users, post false information, or try to take bookings or payments outside of Drip for customers you met on Drip.
Drip is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drip is not liable for damages arising from a Detailer's work, a Client's vehicle or property, or information in the car wash directory.
If something goes wrong between a Client and a Detailer, contact us first. Drip may help resolve it, including issuing refunds under the Refund Policy, but isn't obligated to compensate either party beyond that policy.
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Drip after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
