Interior Car Detailing, Done at Your Door

Interior detailing is a deep clean of everything inside the cabin — not a vacuum-and-wipe. A mobile detailer arrives with their own extractor, steamer, brushes, and chemicals, works out of your driveway or parking spot, and hands the car back dry and ready to drive.

Detailers offering interior car detailing

What's included

  • Full vacuum of carpets, mats, seats, trunk, and under the seats
  • Hot-water extraction or shampoo on cloth seats and carpet to pull out embedded dirt and stains
  • Leather cleaned and conditioned, vinyl and plastics cleaned and dressed with a non-greasy protectant
  • Dashboard, console, vents, cupholders, door jambs, and switchgear detailed with brushes and detail swabs
  • Interior glass cleaned streak-free, including the inside of the windshield
  • Odor neutralizing and a light fragrance on request

What's usually not included

  • Exterior wash, wax, or paint work — that's an exterior detail or full detail
  • Permanent stain, burn, or tear removal; upholstery repair and re-dyeing are specialty jobs
  • Biohazard cleanup (bodily fluids, mold remediation), which most detailers quote separately
  • Headliner extraction on delicate glued headliners, which many detailers decline to avoid sagging

Time and price

Typical duration: 1.5 to 3 hoursTypical price: $50–$150 for most vehicles

Most interior details take between 1.5 and 3 hours. A commuter sedan that gets vacuumed regularly lands at the short end; a three-row SUV with kids, pet hair, and spilled drinks can run longer, and pet hair in particular is often billed as an add-on because it has to be pulled from carpet fiber by fiber. Expect to pay roughly $50 to $150 for interior detailing on Drip, with larger vehicles and heavier soiling at the top of that range.

Detailers on Drip are independent operators who set their own prices, so what you see on a profile is what that specific detailer charges — no quote-by-phone games. Open a detailer's profile to see their exact interior packages, how long each one takes, photos of their past work, and reviews from real Drip clients.

Booking works the same for every service on Drip: pick a detailer, pick the service and a time that works, and confirm. Your card is authorized when you book and is only charged once the detailer marks the job complete. Tips go 100% to the detailer. If plans change, you can message your detailer directly in the app before the appointment.

Interior Car Detailing FAQ

How much does interior car detailing cost?

Most interior details on Drip fall between $50 and $150, depending on vehicle size and how much cleaning the cabin needs. Detailers set their own prices and show the full amount before you book; pet hair, heavy stains, and third-row seating are common add-ons.

How long does an interior detail take?

Typically 1.5 to 3 hours. A clean, regularly maintained sedan is faster; a large SUV with pet hair, stains, or a lot of built-up grime takes longer. Each detailer lists the expected duration on the service before you book.

Will my seats and carpets be wet afterward?

They may be slightly damp. Detailers use hot-water extractors that pull most of the moisture back out, and most finish with air movers or leave windows cracked. Cloth seats are usually dry within a few hours; leather is dry immediately.

Do I need to be home during the appointment?

Only long enough to hand over the keys and unlock the car. Many clients leave the vehicle in the driveway and go about their day — you'll get status updates in the app and a notification when the detailer marks the job complete.
